New High Tech Version of "Old Time" Kick Scooter is Once Again Popular With Kids

Women's hemlines go up and down. Men's ties and lapels get wider, then narrower. Those platform shoes from the 70's have made a repeat appearance.
Now, there is a new version of the old time "kick Scooter" that has become the rage in Japan and is quickly making it's way to the US. Unlike the old time scooters, these new devices have a ‘high tech' look and feel to them. They are made of aluminum, have roller blade wheels, and actually fold up to fit inside a backpack.
Titan, a longtime maker of high-end skateboard trucks, has added some updated technology to the new scooters. The Titan Scooter has a proprietary locking mechanism that keeps it sturdy. The rear foot brake keeps the scooter under control. The telescoping handlebars adjust for any size rider. And now Titan is introducing colors - red, blue, and purple - to go with the original polished silver.
Most of all, kids are ‘going wild' playing with them.
Bob Mackay, Titan President, saw some earlier versions of today's scooters and noticed how many kids wanted them. "I'd see a scooter with a crowd of kids around it…everybody wanting to try it. The next question was always where to get one."
Mackay sat down with his engineers and redesigned the scooter to give it added strength, flexibility for different sized riders, and a sleek look. Next, he added the anodized colors to give customers a chance to ride in their color of choice.
"Every where we take scooters, kids just love ‘em. I haven't seen anything this popular in years!" Mackay added.
Titan Scooters can be seen in bicycle and skateboard shops. More information is available at www.titanscooters.com.
